I remember that Jesuit show… I may still have the bruises. The great thing about that place is that it was basically setup like house shows in a living room. Did you ever play the Pickle Patch in Santa Barbara? Used to just drive up there and then just crash on the floor after the show.
Wow, glad to see the Pickle Patch mentioned on here. I grew up and currently live in Santa Barbara. I remember some great show at the Pickle Patch; Ensign, Kill Your Idols, Good Clean Fun, Dillinger Escape Plan…
If you remember The Living Room in Goleta, I'm working to get that place up and running again.

allan..i agree its crazy that the pickle patch is mentioned on here.. all of my fondest hardcore memories are from the pp and the living room, BANE, IN MY EYES, HIS HERO IS GONE, KID DYNAMITE, AT THE DRIVE (at the pickle patch!) BOYSETSFIRE, ENSIGN, GCF, CONVERGE, CARRY ON, FORMER MEMBERS OF ALFONSIN, MISSING 23RD, STRIFE, EARTH CRISIS….etc etc...too many to name..there were a million great shows at skatestreet and lazerstar as well. i was blessed to have such a good HXC scene in my area growing up..

Unfortunately I missed the opportunity to geek out at the SELA party because I already had a ticket booked from LA to DC leaving that morning.
Fortunately I got to geek out in another way in DC by stopping by the Dischord House. Yes, I saw the museums and the monuments but this was probably the highlight of my trip.
On another note…
Are any of you going to the FREE Integrity / Ceremony / Pulling Teeth show in LA on 11/13?

i'll be at integrity. shit came up and i missed them with gehenna, i will not make that mistake again. ceremony seem like nice kids but i just can't get into them.

saw the integ/gehenna show in bmore last year and it was quite an event. eyestone was there with me too.
i really love that new ceremony record, i may have already said it in this thread but i think its great. totaly germs/flipper vibe.

integrity were pretty good considering its just dwid and some young kids. they played pretty much only the hits.
i'm not a big fan of ceremony but they were a lot of fun to watch and i met anthony the kid who plays guitar and he was a super nice dude.
pulling teeth opened and they were alright. if i were in my late teens or early twenties i would probably be way more into this band.

i dont know if you guys read this blog…you probably do...its super good and they had a rad article today about a three day string of west coast Minor Threat shows in the summer of 82 (setlist above is from a the san diego show)
i would give both legs to go back in time and see this set..

about 15 years ago i found a copy of uniform choice - screaming for change in a used record bin. paid 5 bucks for it (i already had the wishingwell pressing but i figured i'd give it to a friend), got home, looked inside it and there was a setlist. what a score.
doublecross is a cool blog, but they sort of only cater to a very specific audience. i like how in depth they get though.

thats killer! i love UC… i have similar record tale..i once bought a first press negative approach - tied down and when opened it up all the way i found a letter that was written by john brannon to the orig owner of the record and an unused original NA sticker!
