i don't usually where those out on the manufacturing floor at work ( I'm an engineer at an aerospace manufacturer)
it may have been a reaction to the leather with some of the coolants we use or a different powered residue, but honestly – i have no idea

Those Roper Boots are too out there for my taste, but the engineers are great. I'm still breaking them in so they kind of hurt my feet, but hoping that will go away with more wear.

They were originally developed for children, so that makes perfect sense

And they look like children's boots.  I'm sure they can be sported by someone, who has the right amount of charisma and style, without looking silly - but certainly not me!

they really are great man. i wouldn't worry about the rubbing unless they are too short. my rc's and julians both did that but went away. the rc's were too short or i would still have them

Thanks @illumin8em the fit is perfect they're just rubbing the tops of my big toes for some reason, especially the right foot. I assume it will go away with some wear. I haven't been able to wear them much since it's been so warm, but they should get a lot of wear in the coming months!
