i use sno seal with mine.
my tactic is :
a sunny day=let the clarks take sun and temperature.
apply the sno seal on the warm beeswax
2 or 3 coats.
and sun again!
and great result!

Like Lando, I got a fantastic deal on something. I purchased a pair of W29 Samurai 17-oz S5000BK from ajchen on SuFu. ajchen is in that "jumping" photo with LandoCal and Beatle – he's one of the 4 -- in front of SENY.
I got these for $220 shipped -- they've been hot soaked twice and worn never. They're pretty much brand new. I got them yesterday and tried them on...OMFG. Beautiful. Beautiful fucking jeans, that's all I can say. Got the tags, labels and price tags too. I don't think they were from BIG because they had Japanese prices on them. Not sure where he got them, but they're the real deal. Oh yeah -- these had shrunk to a 30.5" inseam...they're perfect on me. I'll be wearing these jeans without a cuff for a change. But, ajchen emailed me, told me that the denim on S5000BK is insanely nice....and Lordy Lordy -- is he ever right !

Tab and arcs?..
Seul – indeed, got the tab and arcs ! Though 17-oz, these jeans feel extraordinarily crispety, crunchety -- and just as thick n' heavy as IH 21-oz IMHO. Though obviously I don't need new jeans (does anyone on this forum need new jeans ???), I long ago said to myself...if reasonably new Samurai S5000BK ever comes up in my size (Tagged 31, shrunk 29) on SuFu for a good price -- I'm grabbing. I've been waiting for 'em for a long time...I got them for $220 shipped and they're listed on BIG's website for $325 (taxes not included). Plus, they're already shrunk and have an inseam of 30.5" -- which are perfect for me and this time no cuffing. I guess ajchen must be a pretty short dude although I can't really tell in that jumping photo !
If you google around, a faded pair of S5000BK are just sick ! Though I love IH, I like Samurai and Sugar Cane (Oki and Hawaii) tons too. Those 3 are my go-to jeans.

The 17 oz Samurai is nice - and yes they fade reàlly nicely… I know what you mean when you describe the starch on them btw... Still: uncomparable to the IH 21 oz denim imo... Apples/ oranges... IH is MUCH softer, drapes a lot better, and breaths a lot more... I'm def not going back to Samurai or FH - although I will always like them... Maybe you should look into buying The Devil's Fit when they come out!.. I think those 'd really suit and flatter you!..

Funny you should say this… I'm down to 2 jeans and have no plans on buying another pair in 2011... Although it'll be hard to resist the Beatle Busters...
Edit: tab and arcs = they were imported from Japan... Rakuten or 2nd or another store... It also means they look a lot better, cause I love the arcs on the Sams... Just write "THESE ARE NOT LEVI'S JEANS" on the back of your shirt though...

Seul, I wish I were wealthy. Unfortunately, I am not. :). The Devils Fit sound amazing…and I'm certainly eye-ing them (the best thing about those skinny little motherfuckers is that alteration is not needed !!!)....but we'll just have to see how the finances fall in early 2011. Slender people with relatively small asses should look awesome in the Devils Fit. Also, though I'm not Satanist by any stretch, I am not religious -- so I dig the "666" play, as well as the name "Devil's Fit".
