Thanks for the post, Z. I really enjoy reading alternative workout ideas. My training has always been fairly standard, and new ideas don't come naturally.
I am finally done entertaining family and friends for the foreseeable future. It was fun, but I'm glad to get back to my daily routine. I signed up for a direct-from-the-farm, organic vegetable delivery service with the intention of diving fully into this Paleo thing (I'm really excited for this). I'm also attempting to ramp up the training in the coming weeks. I will post progress and look forward to reading everyone else's progress as well.

Work has been insanely crazy, but I've been doing a 250 air squat and 100 push-up challenge to get myself somewhat started. Doing DDP yoga tonight. Might ride my bike Sunday after turkey hunting. You guys count me in, I need to pick out a pack.

Level 2 roots just kicked my ass
Good to read :). I've been doing Lvl 3/4 roots for the best part of a few months. Slow and steady, really enjoyable program. "Ray's lifting heavy!"
Was all set to purchase a GR1 until reading "Our rucks are highly water resistant but not technically waterproof. ". Riding in torrential rain with a laptop on my back I need that technically waterproof.

you could keep your laptop in a waterproof sleeve, for the rare instance when 100% waterproof is needed

I got caught in a down pore on Thursday night 1 mile into my 4 mile walk. My iPhone was in outside compartment and remained completely dry I however was like a wet dog. Rain just beads right off the cordura.

I hope it continues to work like that d666 :). I've had leakage on items that started waterproof after 10-20+ hours of total time in the rain. I'll likely be in the rain for around 60-100hours this year. I'll do some reading. My current bag is 100% waterproof externally as well as pvc lined….Thanks for the reply d666, I'll be back at some point

I'm still considering a GR1 for bike commuting with a laptop, and considering we get a fair amount of rain here in the UK, one of my key requirements is that it doesn't leak! As far as I could tell Goruck only claim the pack is water-resistant since it would eventually let water in if you held it submerged under water, which is a requirement if you want to claim waterproofness.
Once I can convince myself that the high cost plus the additional costs of shipping and UK customs charges are worth it, I'll buy one…...I'm not that far off

It's a tremendous bag

Lvl 2 roots today and I kicked its ass. I feel great, intervals tomorrow. Looks like I'm going to be needing a 16kg bell soon. Doug & Z can't thank you guys enough for getting me into bells! Later today 2.25 mile walk with bricks in GR1.
