Weighed my pack today and realized I carry ~25 lbs daily. Almost there, thank you text books and laptop.
On a workout related note, similar to Adam, pushups till I can't stand it, 5-10 minute break. Lather, rinse, repeat a few times.
Commute with the heavy pack, and then I finally went running for a few miles after not doing so for that last few months.
-
walked around with the daughter on my shoulders as the boy practiced with his track team. did a few push-ups, but heard & felt some creaking & knocking so I slowed down on that.
thinking of setting monthly goals & seeing how this continues to progress.
oh & scheduled a full check-up with a doctor to ensure my knocking & ticking is just from inactivity & to get the official green light to move full steam ahead.
looking forward to getting back in shape & impatiently waiting on dates & location so I can make sure i'm in on this epic event.
*need images in here of some of your routines to keep this moving

i haven't lost anything, i'm still round as ever; but i'm going to continue working on it (plus black is slimming hahahahahaha).
*** should be noted that i have yet to modify my diet & haven't really been doing any serious cardio. i doubt i'm going to start dropping pounds until i make those much needed adjustments.

true, true.
reading what all the kids are doing in this thread is motivating. if i wasn't so vain i would put an image of what i look like now & then one every month as well as my amount of pull ups & run times.
it will be great to see where we start & where we end up
-
. . . motivated to do it, BUT can not say for sure, for sure until I know when & where it's taking place.
*** i understand d triple & big zee can only give folks dates when the goruck folks give them dates & so it's akin to, "it will happen when it happens" thingy i've grown accoustomed to on the forum. to be fair to the goruck folks we are only going into the second quarter of 2013. having dates set for 2014 for a few denim dudes wouldn't be very high on my list of things to do.
-
that i do not know & do not want to ass-u-me to make an even bigger ass of me & or you.
i'm just looking forward to it as big fun in March or April of 2014

Dates are out to end of the year right now. Both Z & I have had several conversations with GORUCK guys and they are psyched about us

Started messing around with the kettlebells a couple days ago. I'm really liking the experience so far. Traditional weightlifting has just grown stale, for me. I needed something new, and this is definitely it. My plan is to get another week or so with them under my belt, and then go see an RKC trainer for a few sessions. I just want to make sure my repaired shoulder is strong enough first. So far so good.
