got this beauty today. those who read the heritage post might have seen the article about this knife in edition no. 2/2012 on page 144. The blacksmith, Yannick Epiard builds the blades from railing steel dated 13th-15th century, which he found in the cathedral in Reims, France…wow...he got the inspiration of this "piemontais" from an extremely rare find from diggings near a cathedral in London, which seems to be the oldest known pocketknife to date.

A knife from the middle age, back to the roots guys  🙂

        Cheers,
        David

CRK had a DVD set that followed the manufacture of their folding knives and their fixed blades that was pretty fantastic. Really interesting stuff. Even went into Chris' life history

What are you looking for? Sebenza, Mnandi, Umnumzaan, Ti-Lock?

Nah I don't think so… I have a small one cause I have girl hands, but I'm sure the large one isn't too much at all... Really a discrete piece the Sebenza...

Fuck I miss mine... Only about three more weeks...  😠 😉

It's a big knife, really depends on you and what your looking for. The Ti-Lock is my favorite CRK

Truenorthknives.com also has a good selection

As for size, depends on your intended use and what you're comfortable with. For extended use, I like a 3.5"-4" blade. That's if I'm cutting stuff for more than ten minutes. Most tasks can be handled with something smaller. If you're only going to cut your sandwich in half or open a box or two, 2.25"-3" is what I use

Smaller knives are also easier to carry and alarm people less
