Denham don't seem to be getting much love around here. I quite like their jeans because the designs are a bit more adventurous than remixing classic Americana, though they're probably closer to something like Nudies in terms of quality.

Their store on Prinsengracht in Amsterdam is always worth a look. And it's just around the corner from Tenue de Nimes. 😉

That said, I'm liking some of their coats for the winter. The Orkney appeals, and not just because that's where my family originates from. It's cut from vintage French linen and Italian blankets. Not cheap, though, and (fortunately) not in my size.

The Longshore is a crazy hybrid of pea coat and biker jacket. I'm not entirely convinced by the tweed sleeves, but apart from that I like it.

They've got some really interesting pieces in their garment library too. My favourite is the leather and wool Ike jacket that they found in a shop in Edinburgh. It's giving me bad ideas…

One of the guys around here had a Denham denim peacoat that was pretty epic. Sometime around last year

I know it's pretty pricey stuff and made in China, but is it a quality product? (Talking about the brand in general.)

I think that the quality varies across the range. Mine are at the top end, probably equivalent to the Japanese or Virgin ranges, though they predate that labeling. I picked them up in a clearance sale, along with a pair of LVC jeans, in a €99 for two deal, so I can't complain about price. 😃

They're made from a sanforised, Japanese selvedge denim, probably around 14 oz. They're a bit heavier than the Levis or Nudies that I've owned in the past, and the construction seems better than either of these brands. There are some nice touches: The back pockets are lined, and the inside seams have been rolled over and neatly done.

That said, the top end Denham jeans are around €300 / $400. I think that you could probably do better with Ironheart at that price point.
