      @shubharamani:

My Mum thanks Mrs. G for the little gift (soap) packed in with my last Iron Heart parcel. I left it unopened for her on the coffee table. Mum said "How did Mrs. G. know about me ??". I said, Mum – everyone on the Iron Heart Forum knows about you ! They've seen pics of you too ! At which point my Mum rolls her eyes and replied "Gee, thanks.". But she appreciates the sweet gesture from Paula greatly !

Very kind message - thanks, Shubs.  It was such a tiny gesture for such a legendary Mum!

Off to France for skiing trip tomorrow!  😃

Very excited (but of course, very sad at prospect of leaving Mr G home alone till Saturday).  😢

This is not how a rec should arrive to a buyer:

Shit like this costs me money. Damned careless postal employees!..  😠

Thing is: I have a 275 € rec going out on Tuesday… I'm scared to start packing it, y'know... If that rec is broken, well, you might see me standing aside the road holding a cardboard reading 'Will handsoak jeans for food'.

… and following it up by having breakfast consisting of croissants with cheese, some tea, and a crazy Japanese flick (Oldboy).

                    Oldboy is Korean

Yep, just saw that while examining the DVD box. Not familiar with Park or his other work.

Just waiting for my friend to show up, so we can start watching…

Well, you guys know who I am – Oakland-based dog-loving, mom-loving, yoga-practicing, tiny little Iron Heart fanatic gal who doesn't smoke, drink, or eat junk food. Well, I changed my username to shabooba. PS...that's what my dearest friend in the world "Rosanna" (lives in Dallas, TX) calls me...

I did this because, though it wouldn't upset me if someone looked me up (via google) based on my previous username -- I do share an awful lot of myself on this forum. I love it...have no regrets at all and will continue to do so. I've made some wonderful friends here, who I can't wait to meet at the Self Edge SuFu Party in SF on May 1st. Also, I just may make it to the SELA opening as well....

The point is, I want to make life just a little harder for someone to be able to simply google my ass up and find all my Iron Heart Forum posts. And despite my lame attempts to be slightly cryptic, if someone succeeded – well, hurrah for them. Like I said, I have nothing to hide.

I'm keeping my old username in tact on SuFu, because quite frankly, all I do is WAYWT there...and I'll never do more. I don't feel as comfortable spilling my beans on SuFu -- that world is too big and scary. This Iron Heart forum is a tighter knit community and besides -- I love IH the best. Nothing ain't ever gonna compete with my love for Iron Heart. That 15-oz Samurai/Sugar Cane/Flat Head mood swing was a short-lived phase -- now it's over. But at least I have jeans to take to India...and while I am cold pretty much 24-7, when I go to India, I'm sweltering HOT AS FUCK and 21oz will murder me alive...trust me, it's inhuman to wear Iron Heart in Chennai, India (unless you have a suicidal streak).

                              Peace,

                              Shubha

Like I've said many times, I'm on travel status a lot, and I'm also a gym junkie, so I'm always having a struggle keeping in tip top shape when I'm out of town

I just got the Bodylastics set in the hopes that it'll help me at least keep in shape I'm in when I head out, instead of the usual sliding backwards I go through when I'm out for weeks at a time.

If anyone is curious, I can post up a review when I get back from Maryland in a couple weeks

Sure, I'm curious. I'm a fitness freak myself so I'm interested. But DougNg, TRY YOGA ! Pop in a DVD…seriously. Try Rodney Yee. Nothing will keep you fitter and it's easy to do in hotel rooms. When I travel, I do yoga in my hotel room.

DougNg, here you go. Get this Rodney Yee DVD "Power Yoga – Total Body Workout". You will not regret it. BTW, I've bumped into Rodney Yee in my Oakland neighborhood a couple of times. He's incredibly good-looking in person. He's from Oakland, and comes back to visit old friends from time to time...also, he still co-owns the Piedmont Yoga Studio in Oakland.

I've done a couple Yoga classes in my life, and while they were fun, I feel that Yoga is really something you have to stay on top of on a regular basis. My workout routine is resistance based to complement my martial arts training, so I wouldn't have the time to do it everyday

Does that sound about right to you? I couldn't do all the holds in the class (and my flexibility isn't where it should be) and I worry that if I don't keep doing it on a regular basis, I would never get a "complete" workout

Absolutely un-true DougNg. With yoga, it takes a loooooo-ong time to see results. My Mom and Sister mix in yoga only once or twice a week. The other days they lift weights, run and swim. They still see benefits and so will you.

Even if you do yoga only while on the road DougNg,  work your hardest at it. Buy that Rodney Yee DVD I recommended…it's challenging as fuck. If you somehow work through that DVD, it'll be a tough workout and you'll burn mega calories. Trust me !

After about the 20th time going through that DVD, you'll know the routine by heart. And believe me, you'll notice your flexibility improving greatly.
