There are two orientations of the Lock Blocks: one where the torch sits perpendicular to the block and one parallel. From looking at the pics, I would guess the parallel one would work threaded through the two holes on either side of the front of your helmet but that's just a guess.

You'd probably be able to attach the magishine helmet bracket with the help of some zip ties if the original velcro strap doesn' t work. The bracket is 6 cm*6 cm so if the space between the ventilation holes is a minimum of that it'll work just fine.

Anyone know anything about Ay Ups lights? Sound like a good option from a small, quality company (just how I like 'em ).

I know a guy who has a set from Ayup and he praises them loudly. The price though is quite -erhm- "steep".

I know, trying to justify the cost to myself but I harbour dreams of Alpine adventure so these might be the ticket….bit scared of import tax into France though. Anyone know how much i'd end up paying on a 370 euro set? Seul?

Lupine lights are really great, too. The prices otherwise are pretty steep. I am pretty happy with my Sigma. RRP is 180€ and I got it for 100. Never had a problem on our local trails with it.

A friend of mine just uploaded loads of pics of bikes we've had along the way. This is the one I miss the most, it was so much fun:

The rear triangle gave up on me after three years of heavy use, and I got this frame as a replacement. It was really nice as well but we never really clicked (and I got offered a nice sum of money for the bike) so off it went…

I've got that trailbike urge again (and bad), been looking at both 29er FS bikes and regular 26" ones. This might turn out to be an expensive year for me…

Competed in a "cyclocross" race today. Came fifth. About five inches of snow everywhere :).Pics later… So tired I'm struggling to type right now - sauna and five pints later..

Nice! CX looks like a laugh. My fixed road bike is actually a CX bike but I've never used it as such.

My EAI Bareknuckle got a nice new powdercoat and some Campagnolo Record Pista cranks. Now all that I need is this feckin' winter gone so I can go out and ride the crap out of it.

Thanks! I've mainly used it for road riding, usually 70-80 kilometers at a time, that's why I went for road bars - much comfier and more choices for hand placement. I'm an SPD man through and through (unless I'm using flats), putting on a pair of brand spanking new Shimano M-520:s.

I hear you on hand placement. This spring I might change out my ec90 track bars for some roads. Puts too much tension in my lower trapezius. What shoes will you be using with the spd pedals?

SIDI Dominators. I prefer MTB shoes over road shoes because it's possible to walk and do normal stuff in them.

Oh yeah, and I've fitted a supension fork and freewheel on my Inbred and it's been awesome! Even though we have lots of snow there are loads of hard packed rideable trails in our central park (it's actually more a forest than a park) and I've been getting around 60 km a week done.

Felt the need for a bike that I can ride around with in jeans and sneakers without getting all dirty. Most parts are leftover parts I had lying around, only bought the frame, fork, fenders and front rack new. Still some tweaking to do but it rides really nicely. Fixed of course

The frame is from a local brand, Pelago Bicycles

Now I have pretty much a setup with all the bikes that I could possibly need - this for general everyday stuff, the Bareknuckle for road and track use (already did my first 80 km ride last sunday even though it was wet and only +3 degrees), the Inbred for off road and the polo bike for -well- polo.
