I am pretty sure u can do that with a iron as well.  I saw a video of it being done that way.  It seams to be a lot faster than a hair dryer

Yeah, you can do it with an iron.

I reproofed a Fjallraven jacket by rubbing Greenland wax onto it, and then ironing it. I'd probably go with a thinner coating at first, as a thicker layer might not melt in so successfully.

Still, if it goes horribly wrong, it can always be washed out easily. 🙂

Another alternative to consider is Nikwax Cotton Proof, though that only lasts for one wash.

Are these going to remain extant???

We checked, probably not, I’ve changed status to endangered…

Don't sleep on these. My olive pair has some whisker fades on them, similar to wabash because u have to be in person to see the fades. I also washed them in the washing machine (hang dry) and they fit way better and they feel a little tougher after the wash too. Can't wait for the olive 703s, so I can wear olive cargos year round.  Best cargos ever….

I wore these pants all three nights for Phish in Atlantic City. They are the most versatile/ideal pants for an active/adventurous lifestyle. When it was very hot and over 75F, I cuffed them about 5 times (right below the double knee) and they give the cool feeling of shorts and the badass look of cuffed BDUs. The pockets were also very useful/functional. In my cargo pockets, I had my money, CCH,bottled water, cigs, lighter, phone & some other "misc" gear. I can't say enough about these. Kind of sucks that these are endangered because Haraki's cargo cut is the best shit ever!!!  I'll be patiently waiting for the IH-703 in olive, so I can wear olive cargos year round, if I feel like it. 🙂

Just a quick question to those that own these pants: are they no good for wearing in cooler weather?

Coming from Switzerland I will wear them in our usual fall/winter weather but there are some heavier cargos in the pipeline from what I remember. When it is coming real hard I'll change to my 25oz denim 🙂

anyway these cargos are really really great, you will not be disappointed if you catch them as long as they are available

                                    Cheers,

Thanks for the replies!  I guess my cooler weather isn't anywhere near as cold Switzerland.  Above zero nearly all the time, mostly hovering around 5-10 degrees centigrade.  Worth buying or waiting for the heavier version… tough decision.

I'd buy them, fabric is next level shit. Personally, I'm waiting on the heavier IH-703 too. Haraki's cargoes are the best, I'm a super strong supporter of these.  These are very versatile too because they look good when cuffing several times (see my pic earlier in the thread). Buy them!!!
