I think there will be a day when a slate can replace a laptop completely, but it's not here yet. It's more of a laptop lite. It's more of a convenience thing, really.

Yeah that's what I work on at the house. MacBook pro is for when I'm on set.

He's pretty much a doppelgänger for a younger Steve. And other than being kinda douche-y, I can't really think of anyone better. Christian Bale would be a huge stretch. Michael Fassbender could do it, but wouldn't be as whimsical. Viggo Mortensen is too old.

I would like to see Stanley Tucci play the older years, as Gizmodo suggests. I think he'd do really well.

5.1 seems ok on my first generation iPad - at least so far. I'll probably buy the camera kit this week, so I'll post if it works ok on the latest iOS.

Coolio. The camera connection kit works painlessly IME and has turned out to be a phenomenally useful piece of kit for me.

I bought the iPad camera kit this week and no problems at all reading an SD card on the first generation iPad running the latest iOS. I can't believe I didn't get one of these earlier!

I have to say, I wind up taking more pictures with my 4S than anything else, and Photostream via iCloud is very handy

I take a photo with my iPhone, it's automatically on the iPad->edit/crop via iPhoto->upload to social media

No gizmos or doohickeys to muss with

I like the Cloud function - I've just started using it, but my folks got me a Canon IXUS 220 HS for my birthday, which is a nice size for taking with me on my weekly London trips or days out, in case I want a better quality snapshot of something. Plus, an excuse to buy more gadgets!
