I think the problem with the backpocket placement is worse on the bigger sizes. You are size 30 or so, right? In your case it looks excellent!
One day I should try a Fullcount too (was very close to order a pair) but I know that the denim is really different to what I mainly own and prefer.

Yea mate im a true 30 , im gonna have a look in my scrap denim box and see if i kept the hem scraps , if i have ill post them to you if you like?

guys which fits more like an sda 103 or a pbj 007    a fullcount 1108 or a fullcount 1101 ( sized down )

Hi ED good to see your still about, the 1108 would be the closest imho but here are some fit pics of my SD103's in the same size (30) as my (above) 1108's , ill include measurements at the bottom

wow man wounds good thanks so much but i dont want a "66" cut like what they say on the site… should i go with a 1101 or 1108 still?

Neither are realy a 66 cut but out of the two id say the 1101's sound like the cut your after if you dont want them to resemble a 66 type cut

Very nice b_F… Just look at the construction - there's so much detail. Full Count 1108s are definitely on my wants list for some day, although I'm more attracted to the lighter weight denim of the standard model. Could be an excellent hot weather jean.

yeah it really could be. Flash could answer this, I'm sure. I still like some thicker/heavier denim. I own a pair of Red Cloud 13,7oz denim and they say the RC and FC denim is similar.

And I really like all this detailing those repro brands do.

the standard 1108s are perfect for warmer weather ( bear in mind i live in belfast northern ireland )
The denim is a pretty tight weave but it breaths realy well

yes, i have a pair. details are pretty much per my previous post. i guess much of the appeal, lies in the fit, which is lower rise, 66 style slim fit, and the truly wonderful redcast denim. for those who value history, i know a few denimnerds who have bought them also due to the original mccoy lineage. they also seem to be a rarity.

on the flipside, the donut fly buttons are a bit cheap looking.

as the replies above, the fullcounts have curved back pocket openings (as well as the beautiful subtle curve of the inner edge of the patch pocket) and multiple thread sizes, colours and stitch counts (including the beautifully dense stitching done using a fine yarn on the fly front and back pockets - stitching that would grace a fine shirt).

more refinements include the peek-a-boo selvedge on the 5th pocket, the ridged belts loops, although by no means exclusive to fullcount.

it's small details like these that gives the impression that whoever designed these jeans decided to go just a little bit further in every direction.

other notable features of the 1108 are the straight hipped cut and the beautiful denim, which, although heavyweight, is so compact that after wear it feels thin. it takes on a shine, even a shimmer and the fine ring pattern reminds me of the falling rain.

they are one of the few pairs of jeans that i would consider buying multiples of, just in case they stopped production.

Doesn't it just make you want to cop a pair immediately?

'found it interesting so i thought i'd share & take comparative side x side pix of how certain Okayama-made denim, no matter what brand or evo route you take them on, wind up with similar-looking hues/fades down the line.  i suspect it's the kind of indigo grown & used in the region__ having similar dye properties, ie.

both the momos & FCs have reached a  "plateau"  @this point… half-life,  but not necessarily past prime
