Have a question for you guys. It's kind of dumb too considering its really if I can live with it! I'm weary with price point and the actual benefit of the Heritage boot 875 vs their non-heritage 296. Went to the Redwing store near my house and the salesman really convinced me to buy the regular 296 as it actually has more comfort and build features. I mean the 296 leather and sole are USA, but the actual build is in China.

I guess I'm trying to find justification for purchasing the 875, althought have seen the 875 go for 199.99 on eBay, so meh.

i lost 20lbs recently, bought these a tts at the time, sz34. they've gotten a smidge big on me, the thought to buy something else has been tickled, but decided against. absolutely love these things though. I'm almost sure I'm the only Texas owner.. Could be wrong?

Only problem that exists:

Prolly crazy, but as stated previously, I was soaked in cold rain a couple of weeks ago in my 666's and they stretched out a smide. I wanted to see if its was "sacrilegious" as G would put it, ha, if I were to hot soak inside out again?

I love my IH 666s..

I recently went to an outdoor concert as to where I was soaked in the freezing rain, sadly the 666's slightly loosened on me. Well went to South by Southwest in Austin, TX, later that week, rode my bike in them (hot ass day), rode 3-4 days about 10 miles each days. All the sweat and heat shrunk them back. The wear as well looks beautiful. I just wish I didnt have to wear scrubs to work, that way my 666s' could get some real fades in sooner.

Why did you wear them without soaking?

This is my first pair of Un-Sanforised denim and so I didnt think it would really make the difference, as well they wore in more quickly without the soak.

BUT, I soaked last evening and dried over night, man, they fit soooooo much better.

well, i still doubt if i should of down sized one; here are pics after two weeks of wear and pre-soaked. im going to soak this evening.

wondering, I bought my first pair of 666s last week and Im just curious if I sized correctly? I bought 34's and my wais measured with a tape measure is 34.5, should I have undersized to a 33? I was told not to because theyre unsaforised.

Either I love the weight of them and the Texas weather should be interesting at 18oz. ha
