FS: Fine Creek Leathers Leon Custom (42)

Finally realized I need a size up. Fine Creek Leathers make several Leons but this is the heavier 2mm leather version. Using a vegetable tanned Shinki Japanese horsehide, which ages in a fairly fast manner, they cut and sew these jackets in their own studio in Tokyo.

Depending on the panel they'll apparently use a different type of stitch thread and thread count to achieve puckering in certain areas for added character. This is Fine Creek Leathers' take on the classic double riders jacket with the epaulets and belt loops cut off.

I wore it sporadically throughout the year for a few years. Some teacore patinas are developing. The jacket looks more brownish in the sunlight but the depending on the lighting it totally looks black as you can see on the photos. Tons of life left.
