What do you guy's think of Mark Hunt?  He's a cult hero here in New Zealand.

Good fighter but against JDS, no chance in hell

I would say that JDS better not underestimate the striking of Hunt. While JDS is faster, has longer reach, a far better groundgame, Hunt has a more versatile standup-game than JDS (JDS pretty much does two combos, he just does those two very well..) and he can really put the lights out on anyone. Would be an upset though. Considering putting some money on Hunt for old time's sake ..

Haha, he said he loves New Castle beer, but mostly eats paleo. His burger had no bun or fries. Salad instead. Not what you'd think of as prize fighter food. Really nice guy.

I really think anderson just gave his belt away. Like fer real. Almost like a passing of the torch. Dont mean to make it sound like a conspiracy but silva has been weird all week. Talking like he doesnt care if he loses, let weidman hold the belt in an interview, saying shit like "im sure the fans will be happy with what happens". All seems odd. I told my buddies before his in-ring interview with rogan that it all seemed odd and that i wouldnt be suprised if he didnt want a rematch and gave a retirement speach (basically did both). Dont know man. But very anxious to see what happens in the next few weeks

All of it sucks for Weidman bc I honestly believe he has the talent to beat Silva but is now being overshadowed by a man who obviously doesn't care about the sport anymore

what has me thinking is anderson's been going on about fighting roy jones jr
he was there
and they said that dana had a big announcement about anderson that night after the fight
but they never said anything
and as to if weidman could have actually beat anderson if he came to fight, thats a question both have to live with

i'm bummed he lost but still one of my all time favorites

Good fighter but horrible representative of the sport. This isn't the NFL, and if the sport wants to grow, Chris Weidman is the kind of guy to do it, not Anderson Silva
