If you knew how many pairs I sold and bought in 2009 (only to keep a couple I was 100 % satisfied with), you'd think I was crazy. EASILY 15-20 pairs… I bought about 5 pairs of Sams alone, just to give you an idea... :-\
All of us denim geeks are looking for the perfect pair - I've been through over 200 pairs - either wearing them to holes or selling them on eBay because they werent right and I think if I did find my ideal Jean of all time I would be too heartbroken when they wore out.So I guess it's best just to always keep trying for the best pair you can find on your Holy Grail and enjoy them!
I treat my jeans like friends and it's sad when they go but nobody has invented a pair that lasts forever and anyway your body changes and new cut/ fabrics come out so thats OK too.
I lived in Paris for 9 years and the French think nothing of buying only premium denim and I learnt a lot about denim there.
Just dont make the mistake of owning 20 good pairs at the same time - huge capital investment and you'll never wear them all out.

I have about 20, and I have to agree, I have a few pair that have never gotten any wear
My brown IH loggers have gotten worn once, my hickory stripe KMW loggers with back buckle have never gotten wear. Hell, I think my SEXIH07BK have only gotten two wears, which is a shame
Fortunately, I'm a gym rat, and with my genetics, I'll most likely never change sizes
In the last three years or so, I've only worn maybe five pairs of jeans: Imperial Kings, FH F380, IH 634SR, IH SEXIH07, TW 1220FI

i'm always very jealous of how great everyone's gear seems to evolve . . . and i love the almost endless variety
this is the first time i feel there has been something worth showing on my 634s . . . this is the best i can get after almost 5 months and one hot soak - no washes, until today hence the pics . . .
