Nice, I still have two Striders, an Airwing and a ZM. They don't get much use but they're cool

Beauts… So jealous of that Mnandi... How easy is it to open the Mnandi compared to the Sebenza?..

Sebenza is obviously easier to open but, the Mnandi opens very easily. My biggest issue is I have very large hands but, I can easily open it with one hand. It is significantly smaller than the small sebi. However it is no slouch very very sturdy!!!

                  Thanks.

Just packed up my Sebenza… Going back to Idaho for the full spa treatment, new cord, and new clip... I noticed I first contacted them in August... Simply can NOT miss this knife... Also not sure I can do a whole month with the Kershaw Scallion...  😠 😠 😠

Can anyone chime in with views on the Mini Griptillian?  More specifically vs the Spyderco Delica?

My son has a full size Griptilian that I've used and I have a Delica. They're both very light. His Griptilian has 154CM and my Delica has VG10 steel. I like them both very much. I feel that the Griptilian holds an edge longer, but it's not as sharp. That's probably due in part to the full flat grind on the Delica. The Delica has a thinner tip though, if you're worried about breaking it off. I don't pry with my knife so I don't worry about that.

Both the Griptilian we have at home and the Delica has the hole opener, which is pretty awesome

For me, I favor the Delica because I really don't like the Axis lock. I think it's a pain in the ass to unlock, and I can see all kinds of crap getting stuck in there when I work in the yard

Really, you should try to get your hands on both and see which one you favor. They're both classics for a reason

Thanks Doug, I very much appreciate you taking the time.

Im in Aust, so touching (although ideal) is not so easy.

If it makes any difference, our laws dont like folders that can be opened too quickly or easily..  In fact our laws dont like much at all these days.

                          Mike.

Neither one of them is particularly fast. You can open the griptilian with a wrist flick though. Can't with a delica. I don't know about the mini grip, but the delica pretty much disappears in the pocket, whereas the griptilian is thicker and you know it's there

I think it's safe to say if you use your knife a lot, the griptilian is more comfortable in hand, but the delica is more comfortable to carry. You don't know it's there until you need it

Personally I'd spend a little bit more and buy a Benchmade 707 Sequel by Mchenry and Williams. It's around $160 and it is a very nice blade.

Oh, and for manual sharpening, vg10 seems easier to get a hair popping edge in my experience. Doesn't hold an edge as long so it's a give and take. Depends on how much you use your knives between sharpenings and how good at it you are

For about $75 I think its worth trying.
