RE: Photograph and Camera talk
@louisbosco love mine. Its my usual go to for casual shots and even hiking/back packing trips. The RF patch is quite visible given the age but aside from that its reliable as hell. Only real complaints is the lack of lens options and shutter speed max 1/500. DM if you wanna chat further!
Here's QL G3 next to an AE1. Angle slightly skews the size but it's definitely easy to lug around. Here's some sample flicks:

RE: Buying My Buddy a Gift...Surprise, It's Denim!!
@Mizmazzle Hmm you’re not going to like my answer - it depends. Lol
If you wear it steadily for about 3 months, it starts to settle a bit from the initial stiffness. It gets noticeable softer after each wash too. But I didn’t notice a huge difference until after a year or so of wear with a handful of soaks and washes

So between the 18oz and the 16oz (slubbies), my vote would be slubbies. Though 18oz is my favorite looking faded from the pairs that I’ve owned.
21oz though are blankets compared to both. I know the weight makes it seem more daunting than it is but he won’t notice after a few months.
As for the the fit, I agree with everyone above with a bit more edge towards the 666

Yeah LaFaro’s death was at the cusp of the album release of Live at the Village Vanguard. It’s even written in the liner notes. If you ask me, I don’t think Bill ever found that level of connection with a trio again. Which is what makes those Riverside records so $ought after.
