The Aurora Australis was visible from outside my house this evening.

RE: IHJ-65 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Mountain Parka
I've still got the Mountain Parka, and occasionally wear it. Here it is being modelled with Flash, who I was walking at the Greyhound Adoption Programme on Saturday.

RE: Neph out of action again… and for a bit longer this time.
@neph93 I'm glad to hear that the
men in white coats have come for youNorwegian health care system is taking care of you.Incidentally, ADHD means that you're neurodivergent, though I suspect that you'll prefer the appellation that a friend came up with: Neurodeviant.
(But he read way too much Nemesis the Warlock at an impressionable age...)
As someone whose brain is also not running the standard wiring, I would agree that knowing the underlying causes will help in managing it, and also finding coping strategies.

RE: Pets
This is Topper, formerly known as Mystify Kick. He's a retired racing dog, you can find his career stats online.
I've got him for a month to help with socialisation and learning manners, but I think that he's learning bad habits instead. He does have excellent taste in blankets, though.

RE: Watches - another OCD problem
It's Watches and Wonders this week, which is the biggest show in the horological calendar. Naturally, there are new pieces, and here are a few of them.
Rolex haven't done much with their sports line this year, except to slap a black and grey bezel on the GMT.
Tudor have launched a Black Bay 58 GMT, which is a smaller and slimmer package than their existing GMT. It's also Master Chronometer certified, which I think is Rolex's way of saying, "Our cheap product meets Omega's fancy standard."
Patek has launched a very pretty perpetual calendar with a salmon dial.
Zenith has revived the Defy Diver with a very orange bezel.
Grand Seiko has a new Birch Bark with an equally new 5 Hz hand wound movement.
And, lastly, the LUC XPS Qualitie Fleurier is very, very pretty.

RE: End of Season Sale - 15% off - June 21st to June 24th
I resisted the sale. There were a couple of pieces that I was tempted by: The IHDR-502bb and the Big Buck shirt. But I wasn't sure about fit as I keep on changing size and shape, I'm currently unemployed, and I've agreed to spend a chunk of my dwindling savings on a puppy...

RE: Pets
I'm currently fostering Fergus, a former racing Greyhound.
He's a very low energy dog, despite looking as though he doesn't skip leg day in that photo. Most of the time he's sleeping, and when he's not doing that, he's likely to be lounging around.
I got him straight from the kennels, so he hasn't figured out the pet life yet. After nearly a fortnight, he still prefers to be outside, fortunately it's summer here in Australia. All sorts of things ranging from noisy kids to plate glass windows terrify him, but he's slowly getting better.

RE: Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) - Sunglasses and Frames…
Regular readers of this thread might recognise this establishment from posts by @Kasi...
I'm after a second pair of spectacles and my favourite pair was the Atkins in tropic.
I really liked the Diana, but it's basically a larger version of my current pair.
And, of course, I had to try on the Quentin...

RE: Random Rants
@goosehd thanks! I cleared check-in about half an hour ago. Luckily they had a seat for me.
Now I've just got to keep awake for a few hours until I board.

RE: Motorcycles
BMW have bored out their R18 boxer to two litres, and then stuck it in a hot pink cafe racer...
Here's hoping that the R20 Concept makes it to production.

RE: Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) - Sunglasses and Frames…
@scarfmace I like the Stahler better. The top of the frame sits nicely along your brows, but the main reason is that the detailing on the arms is more interesting than the Vendome.
That said, both styles work well on you.

RE: Lifter problems
@EdH the theory that Andrew Lock promotes is that most injuries are down to a weakness, and it's the muscle that's working overtime that's hurting.
I'm glad that yours is on the mend. I've been struggling with back issues over the last few months, which I'd rather not have to deal with.

RE: Lifter problems
@EdH take a look at the Andrew Lock Big Three as a basic shoulder rehabilitation series.
He's added a fourth exercise to the sequence recently. If you've got access to Instagram.

Dr Lock is a genius physiotherapist who specialises in strength athletes. I used Dani, the girl in the first video, as a PT for a while to rehabilitate my back. (She fobbed me off on her boyfriend, as she felt his training style would benefit me.)

RE: Music
@GraemeE I got a notification from this thread because our usernames are a letter apart.
I can't think of anything to suggest off the top of my head apart from get well soon. Also, please avoid trying to die. Apparently, our name is now extinct, so we're a dwindling breed.

RE: IHJ-65 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Mountain Parka
I believe that they were run for a season in 2018, and they didn't sell in big numbers. I picked mine up from the Outlet.
I had an earlier iteration of the denim M-65, and this piece is heavier.

RE: Luggage Bags and Packs
@mclaincausey Defy are currently working on a version of the Verbockel with a pair of their Ultimate Straps. There have been a few stories on Instagram mentioning the project, and I'm curious to see how it turns out.
I think that the Matador bag might be a bit small for me, however the box created by the dimensions has about 10% less volume than a cinched-down Verbockel. Depending on the patternmaking, it might work for me for minimalist travel.

RE: Luggage Bags and Packs
I think that it could be useful for one bag travel, never mind this 1.5 bag nonsense.
Domestic Australian airlines have a weight limit of 7 kg for carry-on which is generally enforced. It's not like the US where everyone boards with a roller case, a backpack as their personal item, a purse, and a couple of carrier bags full of miscellaneous stuff that they picked up enroute to the airport.
I've used my Verbockel a few times as an only bag, but the problem is its weight. The Matador will be at least a kilo lighter, but it's also a bit smaller than a cinched down Verbockel, and I'm not sure if I could cut my packing list enough to make it work.
Anyway, I'll see what it costs when it drops on Monday. I might be tempted.

RE: Luggage Bags and Packs
Another week, another Carryology collaboration. This time it's with Matador, and it's packable 22 litre backpack that weighs in at about 370 grams / 13 oz. The design article has been posted, and the bag goes live on Monday.
