      ^i refer to these as gucci jeans for the colour..

      i always loved the 301s and the 666 seems like the next logical step.

      It's weird not wearing ironhearts but since I couldn't get another pair of 666 devil cuts, I just settled on a pair of RJB 103bsp from Selfedge.  No particular reason other than they fit really well and it's sorta nice wearing a slim cut again.

      Now those sample run of green 666 cut… I was able to handle a pair with my own hands but since they were all size 32....

      ^This.

      I've been getting weird looks from other raw denim enthusiasts who don't quite know how to feel.. Don't know whether i should repair them or not since they have a bit of life left in them…

      So creepy stumbling across this thread but I thought I'd add a little insight into the jeans.

      I've had them for nearly 1 year and 8 months now and they're my only pair of jeans so they are worn every single day with the exception of 2 or 3 days a month.  The paraffin coating has pretty much been "used up" as they're not as waterproof as they once were.  I did manage to go snowboarding with them and with some long underwear on, they were more than adequate.  I tried not to sit down or eat it that day so that might have helped.  I've taken them camping a lot and they're perfect with my Danner Mountain Light IIs (I stood in the campfire for 30 seconds and only melted my boot laces).  I've had about 3 accidents on 2 wheels with them and they've held up fantastically.  Lots of hiking but no swimming in them yet although they've gotten completely soaked more than a few times.  The flannel lining always dries twice as fast as the denim.  Compared to my previous 301s, the fading characteristics look and feel a lot softer.  Mostly due to the looser cut but also because the flannel lining doesn't allow for such sharp and settled creases.

      As far as repairs go, I've had a few areas fixed such as the left knee and there's a handful of tears/rips/holes that have developed over the past  couple months.  The flannel lining is a hate/love relationship when it comes to repairs.  It's mighty difficult to hem but repairs are a lot stronger since they have an extra layer of flannel to reinforce the darning.

      I've gotten to the point where even normal 21oz denim from Iron Heart feels thin and my legs get cold in anything but the x634sx.  My first soak was at 6 months and then I would handwash and sometimes machine wash every 3 months.

      They're on month 13 now and I'm repairing them on Monday.  The left knee has a hole, two more crotch blowouts, and the backpockets need to be repaired.  More photos of these jeans can be found on http://www.fusogood.com

      @shabooba:

      Wow, evilcrayon. I'm in awe. You make me feel so ashamed ! 😞 I lost patience and unnecessarily soaked my IH 301S today – after two months of continual wear. They weren't even that dirty...I didn't need to go there. I hate myself now. Thanks a lot, evilcrayon !

      I wouldn't worry about washing.  I've had bad luck with new jeans.  My flatheads took a spill off a scooter at 30mph within the first month and my ironhearts were no different.  I was riding a beat up CL175 to my friend's house at 11PM and managed to hit a fallen tree in the middle of the road (there are no streetlights on this 5 mile stretch of road).  Ended up bruising my knee but nothing more than a white spot on my jeans that is no longer visible.

      And then my motorcycle threw a rod that following weekend and spewed dirty motorcycle oil all over my jeans.
