      @tangfj:

      Thanks guys.  Got a size 40 from S&S… kind of fits like a glove on me.  Might be a little bit too small?

      I might try a size 42 to see if it fits any better.  Looks like Frans Boone in the Netherlands may have one in stock from my searches... anyone ever bought from them before?

      Looks perfect to me! Are you still wearing the 40 or did you go with the 42?

      Does anyone else have sizing info on this vest, compared to RMC M-65 or 30s sports jacket in particular? It's an old item they don't seem to be doing again and sizing from previous stockists seems inconsistent. Thanks in advance

      Won't hold out hope for someone selling one…

      Loving the roughout / suede. Really convincing myself I need some!

      I stand corrected.

      I always think of a 'crepe sole' as being the layered translucent rubber types popularised by Clarks.

      That isn't a crepe sole. Looks like a 'Christy' from Vibram. Very comfortable!

      I'm surprised as this type of sole is surely a modern invention as opposed to the RMC style of reproduction.

    • RE: Let's Talk About Moccasins (Rancourt, Quoddy, NEOC, Highland, Russell, et al)

      They have worn as well as if not better than a normal leather sole on a formal shoe.

      Walking on uneven concrete, stones etc isnt comfortable underfoot though as there is just no cushioning! To me this sole is for indoors, beach, grass, driving etc. OK on a smooth pavement or commuting on the Tube but you wouldn't want to take a long walk on a rough surface.

      Got these Quoddy last summer (not my pic), hands down the softest and most comfortable shoes I have owned. Will get them resoled to something more substantial at some point.

      Does anyone know how these Lot 441 trousers fit? Any comments?

      I have a sz 33 in the Double Diamond Lot 443 wool trousers and they are a touch big in the waist (not dry cleaned/washed yet), and a sz 32 in the Lot 451 chino trousers and again they are slightly big in the waist despite being smaller (one wash so far).

      Look good as a smart alternative to jeans without the weight / warmth of wool.

      Thanks

      @riffblaster:

      Anybody have any experience with the lot 991bk jeans?

      Sent from my iPh

      Yes what do you want to know?

      The denim feels pretty light weight and accordingly they do stretch a fair bit in the waist. They have a dark grey mix to the fabric so will fade to that colour, by all accounts pretty nicely.
