I acquired something of a denim habit after losing a lot of weight last year. I have grown a ludicrous collection (~50 pairs) since then and I'm steadily trying to buy a little bit of everything I don't already have.

By chart, I should be able to wear just about any IH size 40, but in my short but colourful time collecting, I've found fits that have the waist/thigh measurements I'm looking for, but have a top block that's too narrow to let me get so far as buttoning the waist. I can, and have just gone oversized to compensate (My 25oz Samurai's are enormous (510xx 42's)), but IH feel more special and I really want to nail the fit. I'm still big and barrel-gutted and I've always worn jeans low so I prefer lower rise jeans these days. I have higher rise jeans (Duluth, Levi's 501, Orvis) that sit at my natural(?) waist in 44-46, that is definitely not my preferred fit. I'm a life long under-the-gut guy.

My absolute favorite pairs of jeans are my Sage Firebeast 2 size 40's, ONI Kasuri 622 size 40, N&F King of Slub 2 Weird Guy 40, and N&F Elephant 11s True Guy 38 (Worn 75 times according to my fade log, the only jeans I've begun to put serious fades on). I love low rises like Levi's 511 and N&F Skinny/Super Guy, but I think they only work for me because they all have 1-11% stretch.

I'm leaning hard towards the IH-666-XHSib size 40.
