I will be watching Arnolds come back movie "The Last Stand" shortly, I hear it's absolutely shit but I do love Arnold.

You forgot Point Break's spectacular soundtrack.  Possibly the best ever made.

Damn, I had completely forgotten that Forrest Whitaker was in Bloodsport.  It's been too long since I watched it.

Oh my god, the acting is so terrible.  I love this movie.

I don't really want to get into this because I agree with the idea that one should "just flicking wear" ones jeans. However, with that being said, I have a fairly significant phone fade on my n&f jeans that I don't really want duplicated on my busters. How do you guys avoid phone fades? I was thinking of a leather sleeve, but I don't know if that would do anything to help…

I hate phone fades too. I just put it in my back pocket. For some reason seeing something in the outline of a phone in my back pocket doesn't bother me nearly as much as seeing it in the front.

If you still don't want a fade on your back poker, you're kinda screwed. Just use shirt pockets imo

The only way to avoid phone fades is to keep your pockets empty. Well you can put your keys and stuff but not your phone

Yeah…I guess I didn't know what kind of answer I expected. Just gotta embrace the wabi sabi I guess.

Maybe a leather sleeve would lessen the severity of the fades though....that seems plausible right?

It will only change the shape of the phone fade imo. It still causes friction.

cant decide between the duck and the deck jacket.. would you get the duck one for 500 bucks (lets drink sale) at self edge, or pay 100 bucks more for the deck jacket when they drop? deck jacket is more practical, duck jacket has awesome details and theyre equally good looking. decisions decisions..

For me it'd be the deck. I just think it's a gnarlier jacket in general and is probably warmer if this would be your main winter jacket.

Deck is a bit longer too right?  Better coverage. And alpaca will be warmer than a blanket lining.

yeah i mean, if they were both the same price i wouldnt hesitate - id grab the deck jacket. but at 500 usd the duck is a sweet deal, kiya also said that the difference in warmth wasnt that big either. but yeah, leaning towards the deck!

                          i appreciate the inputs!

I'm sure Kiya knows what he's talking about but I can't even imagine a blanket style insulation approaching the warmth of my alpaca lined deck. It is straight up toasty.

Anyone else having problems with pictures not displaying?  Tapatalk seems to think they're all .gifs (even though the html code clearly shows that they are .img files). Then when I try to access the forum through the internet, they're just blank.

I'm using my phone, with Android 4.1.2, by the way.

Hm… an .img file isn't for that kind of image, that's typically a disk image, a file that abstracts a logical volume...

Sorry, I meant the html code for the attachment was [ img ], not [ gif ].  Files themselves are .jpg, which is standard.  Doesn't matter anyway, everything is working properly now.

I used Jack Wolfskin, it worked a treat on my deck and my Res Hood.

Top tip is to spray at least 6 inches away from the fabric or you get white marks, have to clean your jacket quickly, and then start all over again.

I'm planning on using Nikwax Cotton Proof on my new deck jacket, and will either apply by brush or use one of those plant sprayer/mister bottles. There's a good (recent) explanation in the old IHM-03 thread, but I haven't worked out how to link to it so you'll have to find it yourself 😉
