@goosehd What hardness is your water? Have you considered a water softening system?

@Tago-Mago We put in a water softener because of water spots. When we first built the house, we went a few years before installing one and got build up on the shower glass. We have scrubbed the glass numerous times with different methods trying to get rid of the last of the spots to no avail. While we have gotten the glass almost back to new, we still haven’t been able to remove all of them.

At this point, I think that the glass is permanently etched. I’m going to try a few more times and may call in a professional to see what they can do.

@goosehd Have you tried using a glass polishing compound? In a prior job installing windows, we would do a polish with a glass sanding pad and varying levels of grit to get spots out.

We always keep a vinegar based spray around the house. Katie makes it with white vinegar and essential oils.

Keeping a shower squeegee in there would help keep them from forming

Yep we do both. Squeegee after every shower. Vinegar deep clean when spots become noticeable

We use the squeegee method post shower and for cleaning use Lime-a-way. Works pretty ok. We have insanely hard water. We need to install a house wide softener system. Also, the tap water in our city is so disgusting. Can’t be far behind Flint’s water quality.

In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

Funny! Hard water is also hard abroad!))) My wife and I, when we built our house, immediately installed a salt column. Plus mud filters. The deposits on the shower glass are minimal. And of course a scraper after the shower. We have water from a well. The water contains a lot of calcium, iron and manganese.

So I may be out of place and I don't like throwing shade at people online but, I am so sick of this dude pretending he's so knowledgable of all things "heritage" and appropriete. Everytime he talks about denim he trashes Iron Heart for some reason and it bugs the hell out of me especially because i do wear it as work wear and casual. Tired of "influencers" spewing their insecurities as facts. Sorry just had to get that out.

Found it hard to understand what his point was. It sounds like it simply boils down to he dislikes people saying something is “rugged” 🤷🏻‍♂️
