To Cuff or Not to Cuff?
-
No idea why photos don't upload from my computer by do from my phone :s
-
@Mr-Linz To me it looks like the format of the pictures from your computer are formatted incorrectly. When I looked at them they were different from your phone pictures. (To me it looks like your computer images are saved as HEIC)
How are your computer photographs saved? Am I seeing it correctly?
-
@goosehd Ahhh that might be it. I just airdropped them from my phone to my laptop and they must somehow change format during the drop. Not sure how to change that. A bit annoying, but explains the issue... I suppose email them to myself.
-
@Mr-Linz. If your gonna cuff I like the one turn as well. It's clean and understated.
-
Careful fellas… gateway cuff to hard cuffs
-
@themage Yessir!
-
@flannel-slut Hahaha! Next thing I'll be rolling them up like my Dad at the beach.
-
@flannel-slut lmao

I've gone through most cuff styles but always come back to the Tokyo cuff. I love the chunky weight it adds to the draping of the legs, but it's also the easiest way for me to just buy jeans and not worry hemming.
It varies though how thick I like the cuff. Here it is at a good 6.5 cm / 2.5 ″ - but I also like it at 5 cm / 2". It really makes a difference

I do see recently a higher number of cuffs. Some of those almost like the ones that the great late @Filthy2123ozjunkie used to sport.
An example here from some Charlie Hunter jam:
-
No hate on those who do but it’s not my thing to cuff. I prefer mine to be hemmed so that they don’t drag along the ground when bare foot.
I have destroyed many a good pair over the years by wearing them too long -
@Karol I used to hem & cuff but now I just fold & go - just like Charlie Hunter, cool clip!
-
I hem them so there is zero stacking with a 1.25”/3mm cuff. Just a tiny bit of cuff to keep the the indigo warp off my shoes and minimize indigo transfer. Then when I want to dress it up a bit, I can uncuff and it still looks tailored.

@Go-For-Chill What are the jeans? Oni?
-
@will6er S3000XX17oz-SDS SLUB "MURASAME" MODEL. The denim is pretty gnarly and striking in person.
-
@Giles said in To Cuff or Not to Cuff?:
I get them hemmed to the right length, end of.....
How do you define and measure the right length @Giles?
I struggle with a consistent method of measuring. I like a quarter break in the leg if possible.
