<![CDATA[Rhino Laces]]>Figured I'd throw my experience with these out here in hopes of saving some fellow heavy crew members their money.

I stumbled upon these while browsing a blog and thought they seemed great for a person that uses their stuff as hard as I do. Upon the arrival of my laces, I immediately laced up my danners and…pulled the aglets off the ends of the laces. After switching back to 550 cord, I decided to see what a $20 dollar pair of "uncuttable" shoe laces were made of.

A quick snip with a pair of rusty pliers revealed a plastic coated steel cable inside of what appears to be 550 cord skin. Awesome.

Will be in contact with the company. We'll see what happens.

I imagine that cable would eventually abrade the cord, and possibly your boots.  Not a very well-thought-out product, and certainly not well-executed.  Wonder what they'll have to say…
